I guess Valentine’s Day is meant to keep love warm in the depths of winter when everyone is really ready for change – ready to get done with winter and start spring. What’s awesome about my fur family – I’ve never thought about “breaking up” with a single one of them! The unconditional love is what keeps us all sane.
And they do the cutest things. My husband has a dog – she could care less about anyone else in the whole world! You should see his face light up when she barks for him (the rest of us cover our ears because her bark really hurts). All the other dogs are pretty much mine – each one brings something else to the pack
We have a brand new beagle – boy does he sound like a beagle!! And, the little beagle, who can’t bark, is the ferocious protector of the upstairs – any boarders who sneak in will be chomped by the defender.
One of the cats has been nicknamed Steppy – all day long, he’s happy to make pasta on my leg, a pillow, a stuffed animal…
Certainly, there are more, but, what’s the point of my non-medical ramble? I think about anyone of my herd and smile. I feel love, loved. That has to be what Valentine’s Day is about. That’s why we all have pets, why we worry, why we do our best to take care of them, and why we get upset when something is not 100% right with our most beloved family members. Happy Valentine’s Day – isn’t this kitty a beauty?
